It’s not every day that one sees international bloggers landing in Pakistan. There was a time when the global media would portray the country in a somewhat dismal light, but in the last few months, Pakistan has garnered positive attention as a young lot of global adventurers have taken it upon themselves to showcase the beauty and diversity of the land, proving that the country is open for tourism. Polish travel blogger Eva-zu-Beck became viral, as well as Alex (@lostwithapurpose), Mark Weins on YouTube, and Patrick (@germanbackpacker) blogging their way through the country. In fact, Pakistan has even made it to the list of top travel destinations for 2019 by the British Backpackers Society, Global Media Company and Forbes.
Additionally, British Airways is due to resume flights to Pakistan after nearly a decade, with the London Heathrow-Islamabad service starting on 2nd June 2019, with three weekly flights by the airline’s newest long-haul aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Andrea Angelucci, a Rome-based tour guide, was the latest blogger to visit Pakistan, sightseeing and blogging about it with a hint of his own art! By profession, Angelucci is an archaeologist as well as a tour guide and in his free time loves photography and mountaineering. His Instagram feed sets him apart from other travellers as he sketches the sites before he visits them and then, photographs them with his sketches in a truly unique manner.
